Krafton announces collaboration with Microsoft Azure for data security services

Krafton collabs with Microsoft’s Azure

Per a report by BusinessWire, Krafton Inc. has recently announced its collaboration with Azure, Microsoft’s public cloud computing service. The service will host the portfolio of multiple products of the company, including PUBG Corporation’s PUBG on PC, PUBG on consoles, and PUBG Mobile.

According to Krafton, privacy and data security has always been the top priority of the company, and it will be working with Microsoft to ensure personal data protection through Azure. Krafton claims that their collaboration with Microsoft Azure will ensure that privacy rights of players are respected, and that relevant software will be in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Additionally, both companies will work together to introduce a verification process to make sure that storage of personally identifiable information of its players follows all appropriate requirements for the products of Krafton. These include the company’s subsidiaries: PUBG Corporation, Bluehole, Striking Distance Studios, PNIX, and Delusion.

This collaboration might also be a hint for PUBG Mobile’s return to India after the game was banned by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The Ministry claimed that the game was engaging in activities that are prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the defense of India, the security of the state, and public order.
